I have been incredibly honored to be here at the Hills my entire teaching career. Over the past 25 years, I have watched Del MarHills Academy produce academically strong scholars and fine young citizens. After teaching first grade for twelve years, I taught a blended first/second grade for several years,  a blended second/ third grade for one year,eight years at third grade, two in Kindergarten and 1 year as a blended kindergarten/first grade teacher.

Earning my  BA in Recreation and  Minor in Child Development at San Diego State lead me to  into the field of childcare. I helped to open Del Mar Union Schools first childcare facility. During that time, I continued my education and earned my teachingcredential at California State University, San Marcos.

Kindergarten is the foundation for your student's future.  Having a positive, high energy classroom filled with structure and choices for children creates an atmosphere of academic success.  I feel it is important to provide that perfect environment for children to feel safe, confident and be an integral part of a community. In turn, their learning will thrive while I play a key role in that as their teacher. My passion for children and seeing them learn has only grown stronger over the years. My husband and I have lived in Scripps Ranch well over 20 years now. Our two pups, Hank and Diesel share their home with us. Our children are grown now, Mackenzie and Matthew, but both are proud  graduates from Del Mar Hills Academy.  I enjoy gardening and being out doors. Working out is important to me  and taking  Diesel on long walks is good for us both.  My quieter hobbies include reading and crafting.
