Del Mar Hills Academy Website: We wanted to mention what a great resource our school’s website is. We recommend you bookmark it for quick reference!

Weekly eBlast: This is a great way to keep up to date on breaking school news. The Sunday Hills Happenings weekly eBlast is the primary method of communication for our school. We send out weekly updates, event reminders, volunteer needs, and even items that don’t make it into your child’s Wednesday folder. Every once in awhile, we may send you more than one email a week to give you a heads up about important events. Your privacy is guaranteed – we will never sell or share your email address and this email is sent directly from Del Mar Hills, not the PTA.  Your email address will be automatically added to the list when you register for school.

PTA Website: You’ll find information on upcoming events and programs, important links to school and district information, calendar of events, and so much more. https://www.delmarhillspta.org/

Konstella: When your room parent needs volunteers for class events, or when the PTA is requesting volunteer sign-ups, you will learn about it and sign up through our app, Konstella.  Instructions on how to receive these notifications can be addressed to info@delmarhillspta.org

PTA Meetings: Here, you can meet other parents, share ideas, hear directly about school happenings and become more involved in our school community. Our general meetings are held three times a year.  Check the School Calendar for updates on time and place. We look forward to your participation!

School Calendar of events: Keep up with the latest dates via the online School Calendar. The calendar is continually updated, so check back frequently or even better, sync it to your personal calendar.
Get Involved

Get Involved

Our Hills community is built through volunteering, whether in the classroom or for PTA programs and events. Volunteering doesn’t mean a huge time commitment. Whatever time your schedule permits, whether it’s an hour a month or an hour a week, we greatly appreciate it! We also value special skills, connections or talents you would be willing to share. Every little bit helps! Becoming active is really easy and it makes a difference in our children's’ educational experience.

PTA Volunteer Opportunities: Del Mar Hills loves parent volunteers.  Check with the PTA for opportunties.

Working in the Classroom: One of the most valuable ways to support your child(ren)’s learning is to volunteer in the classroom. Each teacher has his or her own way of utilizing parent volunteers from assisting in the classroom to copying homework packets to leading small groups. Please be sure to contact your child’s teacher to learn how you can help. To volunteer, you will just need to bring a copy of your current TB test to the office and complete the volunteer declaration form.

Room Parents: The role of Room Parent varies from class to class depending on the teacher. Typically, the Room Parent organizes class parties at the holidays and coordinates parent volunteers for special projects, events or field trips. Most teachers ask for Room Parent volunteers at Back-to-School Night.

School Directory: The PTA publishes an all-school directory each Fall. This allows for families to be able to communicate with each other. The directory is entirely elective..

PTA Contact Information: Need to reach a specific PTA person? You can find a list of Board Members and Program Chairs with their contact information on the PTA website.

Del Mar Hills Academy PTA:The PTA works closely with the staff at Del Mar Hills to support and inspire a lifelong love of learning in each of our students. Through PTA Grants, we’ve supplied our STEAM+ and classroom teachers with equipment, books, software, hardware technologies and other materials they otherwise would not have. 100% of your generous contributions support PTA programs in the year that you donate them.
